90% of Indonesian People doesn't know Insurance
JAKARTA - The World insurance in Indonesia is believed to still be growing. Because the Indonesian people who are not familiar with the insurance exceeds the 90 percent of the total population of Indonesia.
According to Media-Based Data Management and Insurance Department Head Sinar Mas Listya Lin, with a number of world market share of insurance in the future still has a bright prospect.
"The development of insurance can now be greatly expanded, because given the explored portion of a child insurance to 10 percent who do not understand about the insurance. The share market is still huge," said Listya in casual conversation in the office of Legal, Jalan Kebon Sirih Jakarta, Thursday (4 / 11 / 2011).
Regarding competition in the insurance world by himself, he admitted that the most important now is how to handle claims from consumers, who thinks this is a determining factor in the competitive insurance.
"To increase their own insurance claims handling, especially, because they just feel good when he gets an insurance claim," he explained.
He also hopes the insurance industry can continue to evolve, and provide education or knowledge to the majority of people who do not understand about insurance.
"The world community can continue to expand insurance and we can educate the public to have awareness for insurance," he concluded.
